One significant oversight in Windows Explorer is the inability to copy the filenames of a group of files. The neat little utility, Copy Filenames, gets over the obstacle acting as a Windows extension.
Here’s a step by step.
- Create a clean installation of Joomla 2.5.1 in a sub directory folder
- Install SP Upgrade in the new Joomla installation. This is a commercial extension but it works way better than JUpgrade!
- Enter your database settings in SP Upgrade and go.
- Delete all the files in root apart from the upgrade sub directory folder that you originally created
- Copy all the files/folder in the upgrade directory to the root folder
The only issue I’ve had is that your core Joomla meta data is not ported across. Aside from that a reasonably pain free upgrade process.
STEP1:
Install the latest Migrator script- http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/pasamioprojects/frs/?action=FrsReleaseBrowse&frs_package_id=2588 on your Joomla 1.0.15 site
STEP2:
Create a clean Joomla 1.5x install
STEP3:
Install the Migration Assistant http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/pasamioprojects/frs/?action=FrsReleaseBrowse&frs_package_id=3339 on 1.5x
Upload the migration file – job done!

Since Google’s Panda update, one of the major sites to have been impacted is ezinearticles.com. You can view the Alexa traffic stats here. Be warned, it’s not a pretty sight and if you are regularly publishing here, you’ll likely see the traffic drop impacting your article stats as well.
I’ve only just discovered this…
If you include an embedded link in the body of the article (you’re allowed one towards the bottom of the copy) Ezine will put a No Follow attrribute on the link.
Better then to add 2 links to your bio as these are both Do Follow.
If you are a consummate article writer (and anyone involved in SEO should be!) here are some handy tips on how to use the RSS feed from your favourite article directory to auto-populate your Facebook page.

Trying to find a decent UK Private Proxy has been a long search. Using proxy IPs in applications like AWR help to speed up the whole process of report generation whilst remaining search engine friendly.
I can highly recommend Trusted Proxies service; great support, not overly expensive and fast!
